Loving a Home Phone

I love the red color. It looks great in my office. The handset is very light weight, and the numbers of the keyboard and screen are both large and clear to read. The back-lit display makes it easy to see even in the dark. I learned almost immediately that the battery has a long life even when it gets left on the charger--this is a bad habit my tween daughter has so its an important feature for me. The volume can be adjusted to the perfect level for each individual's preference. Another feature I love is the ability to turn off the ringer. When the babies are sleeping or I'm working on my novels I don't like to be interrupted by a ringing phone.
The answering system has lots of great benefits too. It stores up to fifty messages and you can replay them as many times as you need to. It also has a built it caller ID system so the name, number and time off the call are all listed on the handset. If you miss someone important, you will be able to go through missed calls and return them with just the click on a button. If you still use a land-line, the Vtech CS6529 Cordless Answering System is a wonderful, affordable option.

The VTech CS6529-16 has a handset speakerphone – so with the touch of a button you can be on speaker phone. This feature is great for my kids to talk to grandparents (love it!). It also has Quiet Mode which silences the ringer on the phone and base so you're not bothered when you don’t want to be.

Believe it or not, not every one texts. Some people prefer to actually speak to someone on the phone. I know plenty of people who prefer to do things the “old fashion way” (calling vs. texting). Not everyone uses cellphones either. There are plenty of people who like to have a landline available to them. Cellphones are not always reliable. Not everyone likes to have long conversations on cellphones either. I prefer a regular phone over a cellphone for long conversations. I find regular phones more comfortable.

One of my favorite features has got to be the backlit cordless handset keypad and display. When I am walking around the house at night, checking on things, I see that the entire keypad illuminates along with the LCD screen, making it easy to see in any light or no light at all. Caller ID/Call Waiting will tell you who is calling and can store up to 50 calls. You will also notice that the handset displays name, number and date.
One cool thing about the phone is the ECO Mode power-conserving technology. What this means is that the power-conserving technology manages consumption for optimal battery performance. I also use the Quiet Mode each night when I go to sleep. All I have to do is silence the ringer on the handset and base unit immediately for whatever amount of time I need.

Awesome chic geek gadget that has saved my life. Well, at least my sanity. It’s the VTech Connect to Cell phone system and it frees me up to move around. I don’t have to play master contortionists to talk on the phone anymore. I don’t have to sit by my cell day in and day out to hear it ring. The VTech Connect to Cell phone system allows me to use my cell service with the convenience of a cordless phone.

Design and decor are equally important and this new VTech phone system has both! The model name is the Two Handset Connect to CELL Answering System with Caller ID/Call Waiting, but I like to call it my Red VTech. This snazzy set can make and receive both landline calls and cellular calls, but only requires one phone jack. It also has push-to-talk, voice announce caller ID, HD Audio, and handset speakerphone. Plus it is expandable so it can use up to 12 handsets! Landline service is NOT required to use this phone so if you're a cell phone only family it's perfect for your house.
