Responsibilities:

• You will be part of a team of SW engineers working on the development of Linux based VoIP Business Telephony and Networking products.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining stable, production ready applications within Linux based embedded systems.
• Take part in multiple aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation and peer review.

Requirements:

• Computer Science, Engineering or Technology diploma with relevant industry experience.
• Proficient in C/C++ programming.
• Experience in embedded application development using Linux OS.
• Proficient in debugging software problems with proper tools (gdb, etc).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, technical and organizational skills.
• Proactive nature willing to take initiative and seek challenges in new technical areas.

Desirable:

• Experience with and understanding of SIP.
• Experience with and understanding of Networking.
• Experience with real-time operating systems.
• Experience with and understanding of Linux Kernel.

Position : Senior Software Developer – VoIP, Networking & Embedded Linux

Summary:

You will be part of a team of SW engineers working on the development of Linux based VoIP Business Telephony and Networking products. You and your team will be responsible for developing and maintaining stable, production ready applications within Linux based embedded systems. You will take part in multiple aspects of the software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation and peer review. You will share in the system architectural design & methodology as well as the oversight and mentoring of design engineers.

Requirements/Personal Characteristics:

• Ability to view the software from an Architectural and System perspective.
• Ability to trace down and troubleshoot problems within a system
• Balancing known risks against time to meet objectives in a systematic approach

• Thorough understanding of the role and importance of documentation at each level of the development process, including requirements, design, coding and testing.

Education:

• A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with an embedded systems focus; Technology diploma with relevant industry experience.

Work Experience:

Minimum 8 years working experience in embedded systems development for communication system products.
• 8 or more years of C++ programming experience on embedded systems.
• 3+ years direct experience in embedded development using Linux OS along with a good working knowledge of the Linux kernel.
• Experience in developing and debugging multithreaded software is a must.
• Experience with VoIP and Networking Protocols is an asset.
• Experience with real-time system analysis, structured design and the implication of hardware development on software.
• Proven track record in developing and learning new technology
• Demonstrated systematic approach to design, implementation and troubleshooting

Position : Warehouse Worker
Reference No. : RFT272

Vtech Technologies Canada is looking for Warehouse Workers at our location in Richmond, BC. This is Full-Time temporary position, with potential to become Full-Time permanent. Pay Rate $17/hr.

Requirements:

- preparing orders for shipment in accordance to customer requirements

- label, repack and sort product when needed

- maintaining a safe and clean environment

- attention to detail and accuracy

- must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

- steel toed shoes required

- standing for long periods of time

- unloading inbound ocean containers

- overtime and evening shifts may be required occasionally

- previous experience in a warehouse environment desirable

- forklift certified would be an asset
