New pan and tilt capabilities expand successful - VTech baby monitor line

BEAVERTON, Ore., Nov. 19, 2013 - Parents know that as babies grow, they get more mobile. With this in mind, VTech® Communications, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of VTech Holdings Ltd. (HKSE: 303) today launched its new Safe & Sound® Pan & Tilt Full-Color Video & Audio Monitor (VM333), giving parents an affordable monitoring option with side-to-side and up and down camera mobility. The new feature-rich system builds on the award-winning VTech baby monitor collection that includes the Full-Color Video and Audio Monitor (VM321) and the Digital Audio Monitor (DM221).

"Childproofing and monitoring can help parents avoid most of the unintentional injuries that can be dangerous to children under four," said Kimberlee Mitchell, child safety expert. "The new Safe & Sound Pan & Tilt Full-Color Video & Audio Monitor has all the important features to keep little ones safe at different stages of development, while also ensuring privacy and security through digital transmissions."

The new Pan & Tilt Full-Color Video & Audio Monitor (MSRP: $179.95) uses 2.4GHz digital frequency hopping spread spectrum technology that constantly switches frequencies to provide secure audio/visual monitoring that prevents interference and unwelcome spying. High-quality sounds and video resolution is available up to 1,000 feet away, providing flexibility and reliability as the caregiver moves about the home. The 2.8-inch video screen and 2x zooming capability allow parents to observe big and small movements for peace of mind. If parents want to console a child, the two-way intercom system provides an alternative to entering the room to deliver a quick calming word.
